ADA YVARS AND ALI MANGERA INTERVIEW

Ada Yvars and Ali Mangera: “Our aim is to instil peace and tranquillity, so that people will feel inspired to pray and to contemplate. Of course you could equally pray and contemplate outdoors, in nature, which could be even more spiritual."

MAREK ŠTĚPÁN INTERVIEW

Marek Štěpán: “Perfection is just an idea. There is never a perfect floor or a perfect wall. You can always see traces of the human hand in the structure and materials, as a kind of signature. I’m fond of imperfections like these."

JAN OLAV JENSEN INTERVIEW

Jan Olav Jensen: “Yes, I like architecture that is ambiguous and intellectually open –architecture that can be interpreted in many ways. We are very interested in structure, geometry, and composition, in all that is man-made. For me it is fundamental that as an architect you deal with change."

WORSHIP AND CONTEMPLATION FOCUS ON

What a religion is, and how it manifests itself in a particular community, is readily legible in architecture for worship and contemplation. Every architect who designs a building where people assemble to practise their faith - whether a mosque, church, synagogue or temple - expresses, through his or her architecture, the meaning and experience of religion in the 21st century.

PROJECTS

The interiors of several projects involving the use of floors and furniture surfacing from Forbo Flooring are included as a form of inspiration. The projects are located in various parts of the world and show the many possibilities provided by Forbo’s products.

CREATING BETTER ENVIRONMENTS

Avinode needed an office with a strong identity and a strong attraction element. The choice of flooring for the project went to Forbo's linoleum floor "Marmoleum". A simple choice where Marmoleum met all of White's requirements for a floor. The floor had to be durable, robust and create a wow factor.
