JAN OLAV JENSEN INTERVIEW
Jan Olav Jensen: “Yes, I like architecture that is ambiguous and intellectually open –architecture that can be interpreted in many ways. We are very interested in structure, geometry, and composition, in all that is man-made. For me it is fundamental that as an architect you deal with change."
WORSHIP AND CONTEMPLATION FOCUS ON
What a religion is, and how it manifests itself in a particular community, is readily legible in architecture for worship and contemplation. Every architect who designs a building where people assemble to practise their faith - whether a mosque, church, synagogue or temple - expresses, through his or her architecture, the meaning and experience of religion in the 21st century.
CREATING BETTER ENVIRONMENTS
Avinode needed an office with a strong identity and a strong attraction element. The choice of flooring for the project went to Forbo's linoleum floor "Marmoleum". A simple choice where Marmoleum met all of White's requirements for a floor. The floor had to be durable, robust and create a wow factor.
